Hzmer Heritage

Embracing her Middle Eastern and Indian roots, the designer founded Hzmer Jewellery with a heartfelt vision: to create a brand that honours the journeys, dreams, and divine energy of women.

Journey Map

In the early 1940s, Jamna lived in Sindh while her fiancé was based in Karachi.
They survived the violent Partition of India in 1947 and eventually relocated to Mumbai.

Jamna R and her fiancé married and built a small family together, raising two children before she tragically lost her husband nearly ten years into their marriage.

In the early 1960s, as a single mother of two, Jamna began designing ethnic jewellery in Mumbai.

Jamna’s path as an entrepreneur was fraught with obstacles, not least the sexism she endured as a woman breaking barriers in the male-dominated world of the 1960s.

In addition to running her tailoring operations, she grew the small jewellery business by adding designs encompassing precious stones and precious metals.

In the 1990s, Jamna once again defied convention by welcoming her daughter-in-law, Sunita, into the heart of the business. With this courageous act, she cultivated an empowering all-women workforce—an extraordinary and pioneering vision that was truly ahead of its time.

A legacy woven with grace and intention — the designs once dreamt by Jamna, and shaped with care by Sunita, return anew.

Relaunched as Hzmer Jewellery, a Dubai-born brand, this collection breathes modern elegance into timeless artistry — where every piece carries memory, meaning, and meticulous craft.
